San Diego CA— The San Diego Women’s Foundation (SDWF) will hold their 2018 Grants Kickoff on August 28th, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at AMN Healthcare located 12400 High Bluff Drive to discuss the urgent issue of human trafficking in San Diego County.
San Diego is one of the top regions in the country for sex and labor trafficking with an estimated revenue of $810 million and an estimated 3,000 – 8,000 victims trafficked each year.
“As we embark on our new grants cycle to combat human trafficking in our region, I strongly encourage our members, their guests and anyone interested in learning more about this critical issue to attend this engaging event,” said Katie Sawyer, Executive Director of the San Diego Women’s Foundation.
San Diego County District Attorney, Summer Stephan, will be a featured speaker explaining who is affected by human trafficking, which organizations and agencies are working to end the crisis and how SDWF funds and efforts will make a difference.
Please note that this event is not open to our nonprofit staff or to anyone planning to apply for grant funding. For more information and to register for the event, please visit: www.sdwomensfoundation.org.
