San Marcos CA— North County Shooting Center, a new indoor live fire facility, is now open to the public at 1440 Descanso Ave., San Marcos.
A grand opening, featuring range tours, vendors and raffles, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., today, Saturday, September 22. A ribbon cutting with San Marcos Mayor Jim Desmond and San Marcos Vice Mayor Rebecca Jones is scheduled for 10 a.m., according to owners Darin Prince and Stan Tuma. Also attending will be Michael Schwartz, executive director, San Diego County Gun Owners, a Second Amendment political action committee (PAC). The public is invited to attend.
The new 17,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art range features 20, 25-yard indoor shooting lanes, as well as than 400 square feet of meeting space for educational classes for all experience levels. All live fire lanes are rated for shotgun, pistol, and rifle. The facility also offers a laser simulator, retail sales and gunsmithing. The interactive training simulator built by Ti Training Corp., a leading company in firearms simulation technology, features more than 800 different scenarios for training using a wide range of force options, including taser, baton and commonly used firearms.
