Carlsbad CA— Founder and CEO Ted Vallas has announced California Pacific Airlines will begin twice-daily non-stop service next week from Carlsbad’s McCellan-Palomar Airport to Las Vegas and Mesa Gateway (Phoenix). The service began to San Jose and Reno November 1, 2018. Next week, the first flight to Las Vegas will be at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, returning to Carlsbad at 1:45 p.m., turning around at 2:30 p.m. for a second round-trip flight to Las Vegas.
The first flight to Mesa Gateway, located 20 miles east of downtown Phoenix, will takeoff at 10:45 a.m. Friday, November 16, arriving at 12:50 p.m. California Pacific also will make two daily round-trip, non-stop flights to Mesa Gateway.
California Pacific Airlines is the brainchild of 97-year-old Ted Vallas, a San Diego County entrepreneur who has previously owned an airline (Air Resorts) back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Additionally he has developed hotels and designed an built golf courses throughout the U.S., Europe, Great Britain and North Africa.
Carlsbad’s McCellan-Palomar Airport is located 35 miles north of downtown San Diego and close to Interstate 5, and light-rail service.
