Encinitas CA— Indie rock band The Elements will once again be performing at the Leucadia Highway 101 Main Street Association Small Business Saturday, November 24, at 11 am. This year they will take the stage at the Gold Coast Plaza, 486 North Coast Highway 101, a stage for young musicians that will feature bands from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Elements will play originals, as well as covers of songs from bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Talking Heads, and Fitz and the Tantrums.
This year, the Elements are joined by Eli Anderson on keyboards and sax. Lead vocalist Julian Boyer will switch between bass and keyboards, and drummer Dylan Herrera will transition from drums to keyboards, while Anderson takes on lead vocals and plays the sax. Multi-instrumentalists, these talented teens play music that spans the range from slow, featuring simple instrumentation, to dynamic, with thundering percussions.
“We are grateful to Leucadia Highway 101 Director Kellie Hinze and Promotions Chair Michael Schmitt for promoting art and music in the community and providing performance opportunities for young musicians, “ said Herrera.
Three years ago, The Elements were invited to participate in the Leucadia 101 Battle of the Bands to earn a spot at the Summer Fun on the 101 and have been participating in the battle every year since then.
Small Business Saturday is great day to shop local and support local business, while enjoying promotions, seeing live art, and listening to live music! When spending a total of $50 or more at participating businesses, shoppers can take home a beautiful print by local artist Mau Dominigues.
