Phil Sanchez serves as campus pastor at Saddleback San Diego. “We’re inviting everyone to join us as we celebrate Christmas,” said Sanchez. “Have you ever wished for joy? Longed for peace? Thousands of years ago, the world was waiting. Its people were waiting not just for help or for guidance, but for rescue. They had been promised a Savior, one who would come and deliver them from their pain and loneliness. And then, one day, he arrived. Jesus was born. Now, generations later, we join in this celebration that our hope, our joy, and our peace has finally come. We celebrate that, through the birth of Jesus, the promise has been fulfilled.”
