SD Botanic Garden Extends Free Admission Offer to Furloughed Federal Employees and Contractors, their Spouses and Children

Encinitas CA— With the furlough continuing, San Diego Botanic Garden has decided to EXTEND its offer for FREE admission to furloughed federal employees and contractors along with their spouses and children next week, Monday, January 21 – Friday, January 25 from 9 am – 5 pm daily.

To receive free admission for themselves and their families, furloughed federal employees and contractors must show a valid federal ID or badge at the Welcome Center. Spouses and children must be accompanied by the furloughed employee or contractor for free admission.

San Diego Botanic Garden is a beautiful, urban retreat nestled on 37-acres in the midst of Encinitas. Visitors enjoy restful vistas, flowering trees, majestic palms and more than 5,000 unique plant
species from all over the world. Four miles of trails wind through 29 uniquely themed gardens, including our acclaimed Hamilton Children’s Garden, with a tree house, mountain stream and other interactive spaces designed to inspire children (of all ages) to interact with plants and nature.
