Brother Benno’s Auxiliary Presents $38,000 Check to Foundation

Oceanside CA— Brother Benno’s Auxiliary held a membership brunch February 9, 2019 at the Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista. Nita Rodriguez co- president of the Auxiliary presented a check for $38,000 to the Brother Benno Foundation, an Oceanside based non-profit that helps support the area’s working poor and homeless.

The foundation distributes food and clothing, provides a hot breakfast 6 days a week and offers other services along with  12 step recovery programs and 7 recovery homes.. In addition, it provides education scholarships and aid to Military personnel and veterans.The Auxiliary raises money through a variety of fundraisers as well as the proceeds from the Brother Benno’s Thrift Shop.

Sara Bussiere, the Auxiliary vice-president, presented a video that she created featuring  some of the Auxiliary volunteer opportunities, such as the Thrift Shop work parties, the Breakfast Club, Layettes Cheese Fund and organizing various fundraisers.
