Vista CA— The City of Vista announced on Wednesday that Dr. Bronner’s has renewed its sponsorship partnership for 2019 in support of the cultural arts programming at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. In addition to Dr. Bronner’s $100,000 title sponsorship of the Moonlight Presents series at the city-owned amphitheatre, the Vista-based company will also sponsor Moonlight’s summer season of musicals, which designates the company as a Visionary Sponsor for the Moonlight Cultural Foundation. Moonlight Stage Productions offers programming throughout the year curated by the Cultural Arts Division of the City’s Recreation & Community Services Department.
This is a tremendous partnership,” said Judy Ritter, Mayor of Vista. “Thank you to Dr. Bronner’s for their continued support. This investment in our cultural arts programming creates a lasting impact on our City and enhances the quality of life for our residents and visitors.”
“The City of Vista and Dr. Bronner’s is entering its third year as partners in bringing programming to the Moonlight Amphitheatre,” said Therron Dieckmann, Recreation & Community Services Director. “A goal of the City’s, when the Moonlight underwent reconstruction in 2008, was to activate the theatre year-round with cultural arts programming. Due to the generous sponsorship of Dr. Bronner’s, the City has been able to offer year-round programming which welcomes thousands of visitors into the City each year. This includes the hundreds of young people and their families who are provided complimentary tickets to experience theatre and family entertainment.”
“The Moonlight Presents series is an example of the kind of tangible community arts initiatives that Dr. Bronner’s takes pride in supporting,” says Michael Milam, Chief Operating Officer of Dr. Bronner’s. “We are a mission driven company that believes we have a responsibility to share our profits with organizations doing incredible work. It’s a pleasure to support Moonlight.”
One of the most important aspects of the sponsorship is the underwriting of tickets to events distributed to children and families, accomplished mainly through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Vista and Oceanside. Hundreds of families are able to attend shows at the Moonlight Amphitheatre providing exposure to the arts, including hands-on participatory activities before shows, a hallmark of the experience of attending a Moonlight Presents event.
Moonlight Presents offers a varied line-up of programming of concerts, family film nights, and cabaret acts. The 2019 season of Moonlight Presents will be announced on March 1. The previously announced 39th season of Moonlight Stage Productions includes the summer season of “The Producers,” “Matilda The Musical,” “West Side Story,” and “Victor/Victoria.”
