Convergence: A Binational Art Exhibition Opens at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Center Museum

This spring exhibition will open at the Center Museum on April 6, 2019 and run until May 12, 2019.

Escondido CA—The Center Museum is pleased to announce its upcoming spring exhibition, Convergence: A Binational Exhibition opening on April 6, 2019.

Convergence, a concept that evokes movement toward a shared point or destination, brings together artists from the San Diego – Tijuana region. This exhibit highlights the multiple ways of seeing and interpreting perspectives by fostering dialogue through the shared medium of art.

This exhibition showcases a range of styles and methodologies including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and installation art that give expression to the vibrant work of visual artists working in the San Diego – Tijuana region. Convergence: A Binational Art Exhibition seeks to bring together artists who typically work independently on each side of the border, rarely coming into contact with one another. This exhibition is a meeting space where artists and their artwork can interpret region and perspective.

Artists included in the exhibition are Dennis Ellman, Gabriela Escárcega, Claudia Ramírez Martínez, Irma Sofia Poeter, Gilberto Rangel, Mariza Sánchez, Stephen Santore, and César Vázquez.

Admission to the Museum is $8.00 for Adults, Seniors and Students $5.00, Center members, Military and children under 12 are free. Museum Hours: Thursday-Saturday 10 AM-5 PM, Sunday 1 PM-5 PM, closed Monday-Wednesday
