San Diego County CA— Here is a list of Easter Egg Hunts for 2019 in cities around North County San Diego. Most are free, others have a small fee.

Oceanside Egg Hunts

Saturday, April 6
Bring the family to the FREE Oceanside Easter Eggstravaganza event on Saturday, April 6 from 12 noon – 3 p.m. at Mission Marketplace. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny costumed characters are special event guests at Mission Marketplace, located Highway 76 and College Boulevard in Oceanside.

Friday, April 12
The Oceanside Public Library invites parents, caregivers and children, ages seven years and under, to participate in springtime stories, songs, crafts and an egg hunt in the Mission Branch Library , 3861-B Mission Avenue, at 10:30 a.m.(English) 11:30 a.m.(Spanish)

Tuesday, April 16
The Oceanside Public Library invites parents, caregivers and children, ages seven years and under, to participate in springtime stories, songs, crafts and an egg hunt in the the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway at 10:30 a.m. (English).

Saturday, April 20
The annual City of Oceanside Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Mance Buchanon Park, located 425 College Boulevard, on Saturday, April 20, 2019.  The egg hunt will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and is free for children ages 3-11.   Families are encouraged to come early. The festivities include a magic show, candy, prizes, and a special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny.  All are invited to this free event with free parking.


Carlsbad Egg Hunts

EGGstravaganza Spring Festival and Egg Hunt

The City of Carlsbad’s popular EGGstravaganza Spring Festival returns Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Poinsettia Community Park, 6600 Hidden Valley Road.

The event features an ongoing “egg scramble” of multiple egg hunts. Groups of approximately 20 to 30 kids will run out to collect all the eggs on the field. Then the field will be reset for the next group. Parents are welcome to join their kids. To keep the scramble fun for all ages, one field will be designated for children ages 6 and over who want to race for their eggs, and an identical one will be for children ages 5 and under. There is also a noncompetitive field for young children, children with special needs, and for families wanting to pose for a photo opportunity.

Attendees can also enjoy a family scavenger hunt, photos with the Easter bunny, a fun zone with bounce houses, a giant slide and a chance to “soak the bunny.”

$5 activity cards and $5 unlimited fun zone wrist bands can be purchased for activities like the egg scramble and Easter bunny photos. These can be purchased at the event or in advance, April 1 through April 19 at these locations Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

Vista’s Spring Eggstravaganza 10:00am- Noon at the Jim Porter Recreation Center

Celebrate the arrival of spring and head to the City of Vista’s Spring Eggstravaganza on Sat., April 20, from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Jim Porter Recreation Center, 1200 Vale Terrace Dr., Vista. Kids, ages two to 12 can be a part of the “egg-citement” and receive eggs and candy, enjoy face painting, games, and other extra activities. There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny – who will be available for selfies and photos.

With over 2,000 eggs and 1,000 jelly bean packets to distribute – kids are sure to have a morning of springtime fun. The event is free and open to the public (*please see age limit for participation). For more information, visit cityofvista.com, or call (760) 639-6151.

City of Encinitas

Spring Festival and Egg Hunt

It’s all about the kids! The City of Encinitas presents its annual Easter Egg Hunt. Adding to the fun in addition to the 20,000 eggs, this year we’ve got two live shows from Hullabaloo on-stage at 10:30am and 11:15.

We invite you to make a day of it and enjoy Encinitas Community Park. Please bring your own basket or bag for eggs.

Limited parking is available on-site at the park. Auxiliary parking with a free shuttle bus to and from Encinitas Community Park is available at the San Dieguito Academy High School parking lot, located at the corner of Nardo Rd. and Melba Rd.

Egg hunt times are as follows:

• 10:15 – ages 4 & under- upper field, ages 5 & up lower field
• 11:00 – ages 4 & under- upper field, ages 5 & up lower field
• 11:45 – ages 4 & under- upper field, ages 5 & up lower field
