San Diego CA— Home Start, Inc., a nonprofit child abuse prevention and treatment agency that has strengthened and developed San Diego’s families and communities since 1972, will hold a special National Thrift Story Day event on August 17, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Home Start Thrift Boutique, located at 3611 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116.
Home Start’s Thrift Boutique will hold a $15 Bag Sale during store hours to celebrate National Thrift Store Day. Throughout the day, there will also be a variety of scheduled activities that will take place in front of the Thrift Boutique, including hourly raffle prizes, live music, in-store stylists, beauty and design demonstrations, and a Hallo-Wine event preview with wine sampling.
“We are excited to share our unique social enterprise Boutique with the community,” said Laura Tancredi-Baese, CEO of Home Start Inc. “Not only is this an amazing place to shop, but it also supplies work experience and a supportive environment for formerly homeless young women who had faced barriers to employment.”
