Oceanside CASteve Slocum, peace activist and founder of SalaamUSA.org, and author of the new book, Why Do They Hate Us? Making Peace with the Muslim World (Top Reads Publishing, July 2019) discuss Islamophobia as the gateway to racism and hate crimes. He comes to North County on his North American media tour, speaking and sharing his message of peace, denouncing Islamophobia as a political weapon.

“In his comprehensive debut, Slocum encourages friendly relationships with Muslims… Effectively countering pernicious, misinformed narratives.” – Publishers Weekly

“In an era of rampant Islamophobia, Slocum’s book is essential reading.”
