San Diego CA—CBRE announced it named Juan E. Rose III as managing director, Property Management in the San Diego region.
In his new role, Mr. Rose will manage more than 12 million square-feet of office, industrial, retail and medical office space while leading approximately 100 property management professionals in the San Diego market on behalf of building owners, occupiers and investors.
Mr. Rose, who will continue to work with investor clients to align operational performance of their properties with their broader investment objective, joined CBRE in 2013 and most recently served as a director in CBRE’s Los Angeles and Inland Empire regions. In that role, he provided strategic direction and leadership for a management team on a portfolio of more than 8 million square-feet of high-quality office and industrial properties.
While servicing the City of Los Angeles in 2015, Mr. Rose led a team that included six of the seven CBRE Business Lines on over $100 million of emergency response and restoration operations in downtown Los Angeles. In its work for the City of Los Angeles, Mr. Rose’s team was recognized by CBRE as the “Global Outstanding Property Management Team of the Year.”

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Rose established himself as an expert in defense financial management. As an agent of the U.S. Treasury, he personally managed more than $55 million in cash and over $300 million in public funds and real estate assets abroad.

Mr. Rose currently serves as a financial management officer and civil affairs officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Spanish from the United States Naval Academy, as well as an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
