Oceanside CA— In 2020, the Oceanside Dia de los Muertos will be a VIRTUAL event. The 20th Annual Oceanside Dia de los Muertos Festival, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2020, has been rescheduled to next year, October 24, 2021.
The 20th Annual Oceanside Dia de los Muertos Festival has been rescheduled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. “The Board of Friends of Oceanside Dia de los Muertos made the difficult decision to reschedule the 20th Anniversary of this event. Of course, many alternatives were discussed and our commitment to continue this tradition for the community is our mission. However, the health and safety of guests, staff, and partners continues to be our number one priority. We rescheduled the event for October 24, 2021,” said Board President of Friends of Oceanside Dia de los Muertos, Cathy Nykiel.
The non-profit organization, Friends of Oceanside Dia de los Muertos, are organizing a Virtual Dia de los Muertos Festival to be held in October 2020. The event has a large following in the community and the Friends of Oceanside Dia de los Muertos is working with several community partners to continue educating and providing key elements of the festival.
