CBRE Announces Liberty Station Office Space Now 100 Percent Leased

San Diego CA— CBRE announced that three new office leases have been signed at Liberty Station in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. The office district is now fully leased.

CBRE’s Jeff Oesterblad, Ryan Grant, Matt Carlson and Camille Doan represented the landlord, a joint venture between IDS Real Estate Group and a leading national real estate investment firm, in the lease deals.

The U.S. General Services Administration, an executive branch agency that manages property for the federal government and agencies, leased 11,396 square-feet at 2468 Historic Decatur Road. Health & Wellness Partners, a medical communications company, leased 4,475 square-feet at 2488 Historic Decatur Road. A research institute focused on solutions for national security expanded into the last vacancy at 2750 Womble Road for approximately 11,500 square-feet. The four-building office project is now 100 percent leased.

Liberty Station is a mixed-use development in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego, on the site of the former Naval Training Center. The 361-acre project is comprised of a retail and commercial district, a promenade focused on nonprofit activities, an educational district, a residential district, a hotel district, an office district, and a park/open space area. The property is one mile west of the San Diego International Airport and is five miles from Downtown San Diego.

The success of the leasing efforts comes as the landlord is completing a multi-million dollar capital investment into the project, including refreshed building lobbies and common areas designed to feel clean, modern and comfortable with a laid back California coastal aesthetic.  The project was designed by BNIM, with design consulting from RIOS, and constructed by Johnson & Jennings general contractors.

“The extraordinary redevelopment of Liberty Station has played a major role in the growth that San Diego has experienced in the last ten years,” said Oesterblad. “Even during these challenging times, Liberty Station remains a shining star and a desirable destination for office tenants.”
