OFD Investigator Looking for Cause of Residential Fire in Oceanside

Oceanside CA— An Oceanside Fire Department Investigator was on scene to determine the cause of a structure fire that occurred on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:10pm. in the 1300 block of Via Isidro. Oceanside Engine 216 was the first unit to arrive at 2:17pm and found flames coming from the rear of the residence.

The crew from E216 pulled hose lines, made an aggressive fire attack while performing a search of the two story, single family home. Fortunately, all the occupants were able to evacuate, as did the family’s two dogs.

Fire crews extinguished the fire, which originated in the kitchen and the fire was determined under control roughly twenty minutes after the arrival of the first engine.

Crews performed salvage and overhaul and assisted the residents in gathering necessary personal items from the house.

At the time of this press release, the fire was still under investigation.

No civilians or firefighters were injured and Vista Fire Department provided mutual aid for this incident
