San Diego CA— 625 Broadway, the historic luxury lofts in Downtown San Diego, has commissioned local American contemporary artist, Alexander Salazar, to create a stunning body of abstract artwork that accentuates the extraordinary interior design. With live art shows cancelled for most of 2020, local artists have had to get creative in order to keep their businesses alive.
This recently completed installation in the lobby of 625 Broadway signifies the beginning of a new wave of partnerships between multi-family communities and artists. This collection of work can be viewed by appointment with the property per COVID guidelines.
As with artists, multi-family communities are having to come up with new and creative ways to set them apart, especially in highly sought-after cities such as San Diego. Working with local artists introduces their brand and lifestyle to an entirely new audience. Showcased internationally, Salazar’s works focus on modern and abstract art, experimenting with many mediums and subjects. After making a splash in the San Diego market with its loft-style homes, 625 Broadway saw an opportunity to create a new experience for its residents. Salazar turned the lobby into an art gallery with the installation of 10 custom paintings adding another element of luxury to the community.
