Six Residents Displaced by Fire in Oceanside Home

Oceanside CA— This afternoon, February 1, 2021 just before 2:30pm, Oceanside Fire Department units responded to a structure fire near downtown at 1507 Dubuque Street.

Engine 211 (E211) arrived on scene approximately four minutes after dispatch and reported a working structure fire with heavy smoke and called for an upgraded response. This added an additional fire engine and chief officer.

E211 connected to a fire hydrant and pulled hose lines into the two-story home for fire attack. Initial reports stated that there possibly were two residents still in the home. E211 declared an “all-clear” twenty minutes after their arrival.

The fire was under control within thirty minutes and declared fully contained and out after ninety minutes.
