San Diego CA— Episcopal Community Services (ECS) has joined SDG&E’s Energy Solutions Partnership opportunity. As a partner, ECS will share on its website and social media sites educational messaging about Power Safety Power Shutoff events and programs, such as Medical Baseline, California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) and Energy Savings Assistance (ESA), and assist in amplifying its outage notifications to individuals and families that ECS may have contact information.
The Energy Solutions Partnership with ECS enables SDG&E to facilitate contact with people and families with disabilities and other access and functional needs. This population is defined by the commission as individuals who have developmental or intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, chronic conditions, injuries, limited English proficiency or who are non-English speaking, older adults, children, people living in institutionalized settings, or those who are low income, homeless, or transportation disadvantaged, including, but not limited to, those who are dependent on public transit or those who are pregnant.
Bob Jones, acting CEO of ECS, stated, “We are sincerely grateful that SDG&E reached out to us to become part of its Energy Solutions Partnership. This is an important opportunity for ECS to ensure that our population receives vital and information quickly and efficiently.”
