JIT was named one of six local nonprofit organizations participating in the annual Champions for Youth fundraiser competition, all of which serve at-risk and underserved communities in and around San Diego County. Each organization was charged with peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns that doubled as competitions for the highest amount raised and the highest number of unique donors. These campaigns ran from December 1, 2020, to January, 31, 2021, which was also the final day of the 2021 Farmers Insurance Open. In addition to these fundraising campaigns, the nonprofits also received valuable development and marketing services and volunteer support from the Century Club staff.

JIT successfully placed first in both categories by raising $184,620 from nearly 600 unique donors. As the overall winner, JIT earned the largest share of additional funds from the Farmers Cares Bonus pool bringing the award grand total to just over a quarter of one million dollars.

“It’s an honor to be invited to participate in the Champions for Youth campaign,” said Don Wells, Chief Empowerment Officer at Just in Time. “Our caring community truly came together to empower the youth we serve. Their generous contributions, combined with the support we received from the Century Club, will help so many deserving young people in San Diego reach their goals and become confident, capable and connected.”
