Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside Receives Hunter Industries Grant

Oceanside CA—  Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) has received a $5,000 grant from Hunter Industries. Since last August, BGCO’s Back2School program has played an integral role, providing the resources needed for at-risk youth to succeed academically while their education continues to be impacted by the pandemic.

Each week day the Back2School program provides youth with a quiet environment to complete classwork, access high-speed internet, receive academic support, free nutritious lunches, and participate in daily fitness activities. With schools now implementing hybrid learning schedules, this program is providing the consistency and support needed to facilitate a smooth transition back to in-person learning.

“We are very appreciative of Hunter Industries’ support. While the end of the pandemic is in sight, we know our youth need our support more than ever. This grant will ensure that BGCO can provide each youth with the tools they need to overcome the tremendous learning loss they have experienced during the pandemic,” said Jodi Diamond, CEO.
