TrustedHousesitters Celebrates Unveiling at Little Italy Dog Park – June 26

The celebration of the new fence will include treats, branded bandanas, discounted memberships and more

San Diego CATrustedHousesitters, the largest and most trusted pet care community of its kind, is hosting an unveiling event of their new addition to the Little Italy Dog Park on Saturday, June 26 from 10am-1pm. The new fence will extend all the way to the bottom, allowing those adventurous small pups the ability to play with the larger dogs, without the worry of the little ones escaping. Attendees of the event will get to enjoy special treats, branded bandanas and raffles for some awesome prizes including one-year memberships to TrustedHousesitters, complimentary caricatures, adoptable dogs from The Animal Pad and some coffee samples from local Little Italy staple Caffe Caritazza.

“We’re so excited to partner with the Little Italy Dog Park,” said Angela Laws, award-winning community manager of TrustedHousesitters and fellow pet sitter. “Little Italy is near and dear to my heart, and we love how much they value their pets. Changing the lives of pets and pet owners for the better is what’s most important to us and we’re thrilled this new addition to the dog park will give the little pups the opportunity to play with the big ones, without any potential escapes.”

“The Little Italy Dog Park is such a staple in our community,” said Chris Gomez, District Manager of the Little Italy Association. “We have the Batta | Fulkerson Small Dog Park, which is perfect for the little ones, and then we have the regular dog park. Sometimes the smaller dogs like to play with the larger dogs though, so the addition of this new fence will make that easier for those adventurous pups.”

Little Italy is home to over 2,000 pups, and its historic dog park is a must-visit for all pet owners. The park is a safe and enclosed space for dogs to play freely and meet up with the other neighborhood dogs. It also offers shade-filled places for pet owners to sit, including community-sponsored benches and a well-maintained surface. Amenities at the dog park include the Batta | Fulkerson Small Dog Park and water fountain to quench your pups’ thirst after a long afternoon playing with their friends at the Gordie “Handsome Prince” Howe Lawn that keeps the pups’ paws cool and is odor resistant thanks to ForeverLawn. In addition to the dog park, Batta | Fulkerson also sponsors more than 640,000 dog bags a year, which are available throughout Little Italy to help keep the neighborhood clean. The addition of the TrustedHousesitters sponsored fence, will add to what makes this dog park so special for pets and owners alike.
