Artisanal Coffee Shop, Copa Vida, Reopens in North City

San Marcos CANorth City, the developing urban hub located in North County, has announced the latest reopening of its tenant and popular coffee house, Copa Vida. The café, located at 250 North City Drive, has reopened and offers a curated menu of specialty coffee and teas, quality roasted beans, and house-made breakfast and lunch items. Copa Vida is now open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The family-owned business was founded in 2013 by wife and husband team, Elena and Steve Chang who now operate multiple locations throughout Southern California. The first Copa Vida location in San Diego opened in 2018. Today there are multiple stores serving coffee, tea and food including locations in Carmel Valley and Del Mar. The artisan coffee roasters are known for their commitment to cultivating a welcoming atmosphere and high quality products for patrons.

“We are thrilled to welcome Copa Vida back as it reopens its doors in North City,” said Andy Tenn, senior project manager at Sea Breeze Properties, developer of North City. “Copa Vida represents the type of local and regionally-grown artisanal brands we are hoping to foster in our neighborhood. They excel at their craft and the offerings appeal to the greater San Marcos community, as well as the students and young professionals who live, work and play in North City.”

Opened just in time for fall, seasonal fall beverages include a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Fall Cappuccino, and an award-winning Jubilation made with house black plum syrup, oat milk infused with Madagascar vanilla, and orange blossom water.

Copa Vida joins a collection of popular eateries and businesses including acclaimed Italian restaurant Buona Forchetta, Wynn’s Ice Cream, Newtopia Cyder, Umami Sushi, Mesa Rim Climbing Center, Scripps Health, and more located in North City.
